Physical/Energetic Interface: Circulation 1 (CIRC1) is a prerequisite class for Physical/Energetic Interface: Neuro 2 and the Mentorship Program
Class Prerequisites: Core Concepts and Manual Perception 1
Preparation for this Class: During Circulation 1, students learn to evaluate and treat dysfunction within the neural, circulatory and lymphatic systems. The quality of your learning experience is greatly dependent upon familiarity with the anatomical locations and general functions anatomical structures listed below prior to the class, along with a review of the neural structures from Physical/Energetic Interface: Neuro 1.
You may find it helpful to have one or more anatomy books and colored pens/pencils present with you at class. Many students have expressed the benefits of studying a three-dimensional model of the heart. Although certainly not required, the best model we have found is on a German website. Course Description and Purpose: The circulatory system is the core system of the body. It is connected with all of the other physiological systems - dysfunction in any other system cannot be fully treated without involving the circulatory system. Circulation involves more than the heart and blood vessels. It includes the lymphatic system, the immune system and connective tissues. This course presents new ways to interact directly with key mechanisms of circulation. Such intervention can very quickly impact toxicity problems, digestive issues, musculoskeletal and neurological dysfunction, as well as problems that are directly linked to respiration and circulation.
This is accomplished through the development of skill and the knowledge of anatomy, working with subtle rhythms and the body’s own self-correcting mechanisms. This seminar features methods of interacting with the circulatory system at physical, reflexive and energetic levels. Practitioners feel the main rhythms of the circulatory system, including, pulmonary rhythms, portal rhythms, digestive and lymph rhythms. They will also locate key points which influence these rhythms and will find and treat areas in the connective tissue that effect these rhythms and processes.
Course Learning Outcomes: Students will be able to demonstrate the ability to:
Course Outline: Please note that while time adds up to 26 hours, there are 5 minute a.m. and p.m. breaks. The breakdown here is a guideline. Some groups prefer to have longer breaks and shorter lunches, depending on proximity of eating establishments. Some groups prefer the option of an early start and/or shorter lunch on the final day of the course to allow for travel time.
Day One: a.m. 9:00-12:00
Day One: p.m.1:30-5:00
Day Two: a.m. 9:00-12:00
