TO OUR STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

All Biovalent® Systems publications (course descriptions, flyers, class schedules, manuals, class hand-outs, etc.) are available in large-print editions for visually handicapped practitioners upon request. Students with visual, hearing, speech or ambulations limitations are invited to have front-row seating to assist with your learning experience, which enables you to receive clear, concise instructions from the teacher, who will be directly in your line of sight. Instructors frequently use special-needs students for demonstrations, so there is the potential for a tactile learning experience. Our classroom size assures that there is adequate space to accommodate wheelchairs, walkers or canes. We also welcome translators for sign language and we allow assistance animals. We encourage all our students to audio record the lecture and lab portions of the class and special-needs students may request note-takers to help.

Instructors are willing to spend more individualized time with you are are highly cognizant of your valuable skills in manual therapy. Most Biovalent® Systems techniques can be performed from a seated position, or modified so that they can be done so. Our instructors are qualified to assist students with modifications on an individual basis.

Our classes are held only in facilites with adequate parking, handicapped access to the entrance, the rooms we will be using and restrooms. There are sufficient restrooms equipped with handicapped stalls and grab bars, sinks and appropriate door hardware for special needs.

When you make us aware of your special needs prior to a class, we welcome and encourage an open dialogue in which we are receptive to suggestions and recommendations from you - we want to make every reasonable effort to accommodate your needs. Let us know how we can prepare to assist you - tell us what other educators have previously done that you found helpful. We are always open to suggestions and recommendations from our special-needs students and we promise to make every reasonable effort to accommodate your needs. For those whose native tongue is not English, we respectfully request that a translator be able to work with you after classes from recordings.
